Many religions exist today even for those who do not have faith in it. There are some significant religions and some minor religions as a whole there are different religions in the world. In the course of human evolution, people started segregating themselves into groups and followed some practices. By following some cultures, people sub-grouped themselves into communities. Later, all these practices and culture made the human beings mind to change, and by developing some superstitious powers, they came into religions. They spread beliefs through some means or network of people and so followers came across world-wide. Entirely there are around 4300 religions and approximately 6800 languages spoken around the world.
Different Religions in the world
There are different religions in the world, but only the follower’s ratio varies. Most of them follow the same religion while others follow some other religion. The major religions followed by people are Christianity, Islamism, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. There are also some other minor religions namely Judaism, Satanism, Mormonism, Zoroastrianism, etc. People follow these religions on a huge count where people who follow Christianity is around 2.1 billion people, Islamism (1.3 billion people), Hinduism (900 million people), Buddhism (376 million people), etc. Non-religious believers include Secular/Agnostic/Atheist (around 1.1billion), Chinese tradition religion (394 million people), Sikhism (23 million people), etc. Any of the means connects all these different religions in the world. They follow religions irrespective of talking different languages. All these believers and followers started setting their culture, faith groups, religious bodies, etc. Christianity and Islamism are the most fast-growing religions in the world. This segregation was mostly on the location basis where the believers were around the same location and started spreading slowly throughout the world.
Importance of different religions in the world
The first and foremost thing to be noted is that religions give the basic structure for the way of living. People follow those conditions and criteria’s and live accordingly. They provide a moral and ethical framework to follow. The second thing is people are more frightened of making decisions as individuals, and so they depend on religions where the decision making authority is by a whole group or the community which makes the person more comfortable. Religion is the bridge between cultures, beliefs, practices, and rituals. This enhances the cooperation and unity of people which is the primary necessity to live in the society.
All these different religions in the world tend to express love and affection to the people by following some cultures, procedures, etc. The stories of God, some superstitious powers, enlightened saints, their powers, their way of living, adjustability on those days, etc. teaches the people about their culture and makes them take a right decision in their life. Some nations worshipped heavenly bodies, some elements, natural objects, etc. and they were following some religions and some other cultures and practices, holy books, etc. Finally, whatever the religion may be, people are the same when they express equal love to everyone.
